DESCRIPTION:Music Director Sterling Poulson and the Choral Arts Society of Utah invite you to an evening dedicated to honoring our men and women in the Armed Forces. It is a free event\, and parking is free under the plaza. This is a community-focused event honoring our men and women in uniform past and present.\n\n\n\nThe evening entertainment begins at 5:00 p.m. with the 23rd Army rock band Article 15. The band and choir concert follow with patriotic favorites\, concluding with a rousing rendition of John Philip Sousa's Stars & Stripes Forever.\n\n\n\nBring your family and enjoy plenty of food\, fun\, support service booths and great entertainment. The Utah Department of Veterans and Military Affairs will honor outstanding service members and employees from military units across Utah. The Utah National Guard 23rd Army Band has played for Presidents\, Senators\, Congressmen\, and Heads of State. It gives clinics and concerts for schools\, plays at civic functions\, marches in parades\, and provides music for military balls\, changes of command\, and pass-in-reviews. The rock combo Article 15 will make you smile no matter what generation you hail from.\n\n\n\nThe Salt Lake Scots Pipe Band has emerged as the premier pipe band in the state of Utah\, attracting some of the top pipers and drummers from Utah and its neighboring states. The band competes and performs throughout the western United States\, Canada\, and the United Kingdom\, occasionally attending the World Pipe Band Championships held in Glasgow Scotland.
