SUMMARY:Camp K's 29th Annual "Send a Kid To Camp" Gala
DESCRIPTION:Camp K is celebrating our 50th Anniversary in 2017! For 50 years\, we have promoted and inspired acceptance\, inclusion\, and diversity within our community. We provide opportunities for our students to improve their physical fitness levels\, learn healthy lifestyle skills\, access and enjoy their community\, the arts\, sports\, and adaptive recreation. We encourage them to stretch their imaginations\, learn practical life skills\, learn problem-solving skills\, learn skills necessary for employment\, maximize their potential for independence\, and build healthy bodies\, minds\, and spirits. We are proud of the positive impact we have had in the past 50 years\, and are excited to continue our services into the next 50 years.\n\nThis is our largest fundraising event of the year. We rely on support of our community so that we can provide our services to everyone\, regardless of income.\n\n\n\nContinuing our tradition\, we will be celebrating the contributions made on behalf of children in our communities by honoring Zions Bank with our seventh Children's Humanitarian Award. Due to their generosity\, and long-time partnership with Camp K\, we have been able to extend and expand our programs and services\, and continually reach out to new populations.\n\n\n\nGreg Kogan is our 2016-2017 Ambassador\, and has done a tremendous job! We have enjoyed watching him gain confidence and make new friends while he has been coming to Camp K. We are forever grateful that he has been such an inspiration to both the staff and students at Camp K. We look forward to continue working with him for many years to come.\n\n \n\nWe are pleased to announce that our new Ambassador for 2017-2018 will be Sarah Willhard. Sarah is a long-time member of the Camp K family\, and we are excited to share her story at this year's Gala.\n\n \n\n \n\nWe expect to see 500 attendees at our Gala\, including some of Utah's community leaders. All proceeds from this event will directly benefit our Summer Camp and year-round recreation programs and activities for youth and adults with physical and cognitive disabilities\, and children with special medical needs.\n\n\n\nPlease join us for a fun-filled evening\, and help us celebrate. The Gala includes great food and drinks\, entertainment\, and silent and live auctions.
