DESCRIPTION:To ensure that Utah?s business community is effective and compliant in their efforts to advance their interests\, the Salt Lake Chamber is accepting registrations for its 2nd annual Government Affairs Bootcamp. As Utah?s leading business advocacy organization\, this intensive two-day boot camp is designed for new and experienced government affairs professionals\, company executives and public policy advocates to improve their efficacy and understanding of advocating in the state of Utah.\n\n \n\nA maximum of 20 people will be admitted to the program. Attendees will graduate with a Certificate of Government Affairs from the Salt Lake Chamber and will be able to pass the state?s lobbying exam and gain an understanding of federal lobbying regulations.\n\n\n\nDAY 1: FRIDAY\, NOVEMBER 10TH\n\n8 AM - 1 PM\n\n\n	Introduction and Overview of Government Relations and Advocacy\n	Educate vs. Advocate: Lobbying 101 and Government Affairs Strategy Development\n	Ethics\, Campaign Finance\, Political Action Committee and Compliance\n	Understanding Utah?s Legislative Process and Procedures \n	Elected Officials?
