SUMMARY:Lunch and Learn Series: Participative Management
DESCRIPTION:The Lunch and Learn Series is a collaboration between the Women's Business Center and the Professional Education Department at the University of Utah\, bringing a taste of higher education to the small business owners in our community.\n\n\n\nEnjoy a networking lunch as you continue to improve your skills and enhance your knowledge of the business world.\n\n\n\nParticipative Management and Collaborative Leadership\n\n\n\nOccasionally\, we face work situations where collaboration is key to attaining the results we want. We want to lead collaboratively but at times\, that is hard. How can we be better collaborative leaders? What skills and concepts do we need to enhance to be more effective collaborative leaders? What can we do to improve our own personal leadership styles to be better collaborative leaders? \n\n \n\nIf these questions resonate with you and what you are trying to accomplish\, then this lunch and learn series is for you! The focus will be on developing tools and concepts that will make you more effective in bringing collaboration to the workplace.\n\n \n\nYour only homework will be to apply these new concepts and tools on the job tomorrow.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the presenter:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nScott Stephenson\n\nScott Stephenson is an adjunct faculty member here at the University of Utah where he has taught in the College of Business and is currently facilitating classes for the non-profit academy for Professional Education.\n\nHe has consulted with for-profit companies and non-profit organizations in the United States\, Europe and Asia.\n\nHis specific area of emphasis is making organizations more profitable and successful and people more effective.
