DESCRIPTION:Every year\, the law enforcement of Utah raises funds for and awareness of the Special Olympics movement. The Law Enforcement Torch Run® is an actual running event where officers and athletes carry the Special Olympics ''Flame of Hope'' to the \nOpening Ceremonies of local tournaments\, or State\, Provincial or National Summer or \nWinter Games. In addition to the main running event are several special fundraising \nevents. One of the most popular and outrageous is the Polar Plunge.\n\nA Polar Plunge is where you get others to sponsor you to leap into freezing water. \nThis plunge is to raise awareness and opportunities for athletes of Special Olympics Utah. There are seven Polar Plunges around the state.\n\nAnybody at any age can show their support for SOUT athletes. All participants must \nsign a waiver form.\n\nTo register\, pay the initial registration fee ($10/adults\, $5/students). Once registered\,  you can fundraise the remaining money ($40 adults/ $30 students) or pay it yourself\, but be sure to bring it the day of your event so you can participate!
