SUMMARY:Salt Lake City Airport Concessions: Doing Business at the Airport
DESCRIPTION:The New Salt Lake City International Airport is expanding! Construction of the fourth and final phase of the Airport Redevelopment Program is underway and is scheduled to open in two phases beginning in late 2025.  Phase Four will include the opening of 16 gates on Concourse B\, as well as several new concession locations. The public solicitation process for restaurants\, gift shops\, newsstands\, and specialty retail concepts in Phase Four will begin this Fall.  \n\n \n\nThe Salt Lake Department of Airports is working to get the word out to business owners who are interested in learning about opportunities for businesses at The New SLC.  The Airport is offering several virtual 2-hour public outreach/education workshops to provide information about how the selection process works for businesses wanting to operate at the Airport\, as well as the dynamics of operating a business in an airport environment.  These sessions will also provide information about the Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) program\, a Department of Transportation initiative designed to level the playing field for small businesses who wish to do business at the Airport. \n\n \n\nThe Airport is owned and operated by Salt Lake City Corporation.  As a City department\, we will follow the City's purchasing and procurement rules and regulations as we populate the facilities with food and retail concessions.  We will publish a Request for Proposals (RFP) to initiate the selection process.
