This event is your chance to learn the ins and outs of international marketing from the experts. Learn the basics of marketing from a world class marketing expert, USU Marketing Professor Eric Shulz, who has a wealth of experience and is a rock star in the marketing world. He developed the world’s largest integrated strategic marketing plan, Coca-Cola's sponsorship of the 1996 Olympic's in Atlanta. He has managed the marketing for the Utah Jazz, Disney, Proctor and Gamble and many other high profile brands.
Following Professor Schulz's presentation listen in on a panel discussion and a Q&A moderated by World Trade Center Utah's CEO Derek Miller. Panelists will include international trade experts and Utah food companies who are currently exporting their products.

About the Presenter
Eric Schulz is a Marketing Professor at Utah State University. His expertise is in Consumer Packaged Goods and Brand Management.
Eric has a broad background in Food and Beverage products, having managed top brands that include Duncan Hines, Folgers Coffee, Minute Maid Orange Juice, Hawaiian Punch, Coca-Cola, and more. He has consulted for Nestle, Kraft Foods, Con-Agra Foods and other top CPG companies. His work resume includes Procter & Gamble, The Coca-Cola Company, and The Walt Disney Company.
He is the author of two books – “The Marketing Game, How the World’s Best Companies Play to Win”; and “The Smart Marketer’s Toolbox”. His latest book: “The Fundamentals of Marketing in the Digital Age”, will be published this Spring.
About the Panelists
Laub's Feeding and Cubin, Inc (Laubs) is a multi-generational family owned business that began producing and exporting alfalfa hay cubes to Japan in 1976. Craig, with this borther, owns and operate a 2000 acre hay, grain and corn operation in Iron County.
Today, Laubs produce and export regular hay cubes, minihay cubes, and double compressed baled ha, exporting these products to Japan, Taiwan, and CHina. Laubs is proactive in providing a high quality product, including insuring GMO free products.
Craig and his wife of over 40 years, have sux children and thirtheen grandchildren. Graig is very involved in Farm Bureau being a state borad membe, is a Southern Region RAC member, was apponted by the governor to the Committee for Consumer Services, is the vice president of his local tlephonr coop, and busy with church and community.
Janet Kenefsky serves as the Deputy Director & International Marketing Director for the Western United States Agricultural Trade Association (WUSATA). WUSATA is a non-profit organization that specializes in helping Western United States food and agriculture businesses explore, enter and expand into the global marketplace. In conjunction with its 13 Member States, WUSATA’s mission is to promote and support U.S. food and agricultural products through a range of marketing programs and activities.
With over 20 years of experience with the USDA’s Market Access Program (MAP), Ms. Kenefsky is responsible for WUSATA’s International Marketing Program. Her duties include overseeing the participation of the program’s Members in the 50+ marketing activities they lead throughout the world each year delivering programs and services that allow US suppliers to Learn, Connect and Compete in on a global scale. Prior to joining WUSATA, she served with the Pear Bureau Northwest.
Ms. Kenefsky’s professional experience is augmented by positions held on various councils and committees. Most recently she has served on the Fort Vancouver Center for International Studies Advisory Committee and she is active with Junior Achievement of Oregon & SW Washington, serving as a Vancouver Advisory Council and Student Impact Committee member.

Shelby L. Peterson
Shelby L. Peterson is the Acting Director of the Utah Export Assistance Center, a field office for the U.S. Commercial Service, under the U.S. Department of Commerce. Ms. Peterson has been in Utah for just for just over four years and counsels and guides Utah Companies through the export process from beginning to end. Such counsel includes how to find and develop international sales, comply with applicable laws and regulations, fulfill documentation requirements and overcome trade barriers. Prior to moving to Utah, Ms. Peterson spent seven years in Washington, DC working with the U.S. Census Bureau, the Commercial Service Office of Strategic Planning and the Commercial Service Trade Promotion Programs Office where she coordinated export services at over 30 trade shows worldwide.
Ms. Peterson holds a B.A, magna cum laude in economics, public administration and political science from Elon University in North Carolina. Ms. Peterson also has her Certified Global Business Professional credential as administered by NASBITE International. In her free time, Ms. Peterson is an avid outdoors woman enjoying all of what Utah has to offer whether it be on skis, a mountain bike, in hiking boots, or dabbling in watersports. Ms. Peterson currently resides in Ogden, Utah with her husband and their Labrador retriever.
Kevin spent 25 years Food Brokerage business. He has done extensive work in Branding, Marketing, Manufacturng,and Sales Distribution.
He has served as President of Chef Shamy Gourmet for past 10 years.
He Distributes products all over the US in Retail, Food Service, Private Label, and currently distributing to 7 different countries.
