Since the Great Recession, Utah has been the fastest growing state in the country. This growth has added several thousand new households to the state each year, driving demand and leading to an increased housing shortage. Other serious conditions persist, including rising home prices, increased rental rates, and the continued need for additional housing units to be built in order to meet demand.
