WLI's Political Development Series

This nonpartisan series, led by Pat Jones, Former UT Senator and Founder of the Women's Leadership Institute, has graduated over 400 women who are all seeking to get politically involved. Of those women who participate in our cohort, those who decide to run for office are 50% more likely to win their races. 

Whether or not you are ready to run, this cohort prepares you in various ways to understand and engage in the political landscape. Learn, share, and begin to understand and speak to those issues and experiences that matter most to you. ?

• Discuss your goals, ideas, and hopes in a positive, respectful, and nonpartisan environment.
• Learn the overview of what running for office might entail ? including financial, social, and emotional.
• Access experts monthly to get your questions about Utah?s policies answered.
• Explore where you can best use your talents politically, such as helping others, advocating, running for office, and managing others? campaigns.
• Visit the Utah Capitol during the legislative session and be acknowledged from both the House and Senate floors.
• Continue learning through online learning portal and mentorship opportunities.
