ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION
The Salt Lake Chamber is the state’s largest and longest-standing business association. A statewide chamber of commerce with members in all 29 Utah counties, the Chamber represents the broad interests of the state’s 63,000-plus employers, which employ more than 1.4 million Utahns. 

JOB DESCRIPTION
Reception / Front Desk Services acts as front desk support and the first face of the Chamber. The position supports the office manager by maintaining an efficient and well-running office, maintaining operations pertaining to office space and supporting staff productivity and morale. Takes on special projects as assigned. Supports COO as requested.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Screen incoming calls and general emails
  • Greet public and guests
  • Provide back up for processing certificates of origin
  • Respond to miscellaneous correspondence to the Salt Lake Chamber
  • Process mail
  • Manage and schedule meeting room inventory within the organization
  • Help with meeting room configurations and set up / clean up 
  • Attend and support Chamber events as assigned 
  • Identify, assign, and pre-qualify leads
  • Provide backup for taking board meeting minutes
  • Maintain specific areas in the Chamber Master database (job board, member deals, community events)
  • Order Parking Validations - Coordinate with in-office events for validation distribution 
  • Manage birthday / holiday / office celebrations and occasional staff functions
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Manage and maintain supplies room and two kitchens (including inventory)
  • Assist in maintaining orderly basement storage area for Operations

  • Willingness to learn and take on new tasks as assigned
  • Must have working knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on occasion
  • Work well under pressure

EDUCATION
Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience in a corporate environment
