Job Description:

MMR Group is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Coordinator to join our team in our Salt Lake City district office. In this crucial role, you will play a key part in supporting our Operations team.
Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update employee records in the tracking system, including personal information, job titles, hiring documents, salary details and training records.
  • Keeping track of project status through constant communication with Project Managers for upcoming personnel needs
  • Facilitates communication between Salt Lake City, surrounding jobsites, and the home office regarding transfers of personnel and opportunities for employee advancement
  • Conduct regular file audits to ensure compliance with state specific regulations and readiness for surveys.
  • Travel to local job and maintenance sites to explain benefits and HR-related questions employees may have.
Recruitment Support:
  • Assist with the recruitment process by attending local job fairs.
Employee Relations:
  • Address employee inquiries, providing information on HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Act as a liaison between employees and leadership and serve as a witness during disciplinary conversations when necessary.
  • Ensure all documentation is properly filed for employees
Onboarding and New Hire Orientation:
  • Support management in completing new hire onboarding, inputting new employee paperwork, coordination of training, and communicating benefit changes to employees.
 
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with HR software and systems
  • Understanding of human resource and employment laws in the Western states.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks- especially regarding licensing within the Western states.
  • Personable and comfortable talking with a variety of people and presenting information
  • Construction industry knowledge is preferred.
