DESCRIPTION:The University of Utah's Goff Strategic Leadership Center is seeking internship hosts for the Summer 2024 Explorers Internship Program.\nHave a dreamboard project you want some help with? Want to tap into early-career students who receive extra training from a unique program? Host an intern through Goff this Summer!\n\n\n\nThe Explorers program opens doors for younger students who want to build transferable skills in their first internship\, and who are driven to succeed but want some extra support. Bonus: All interns meet in a weekly class\, learning about initiative\, communication\, problem-finding\, and more. The priority deadline for hosts to sign up is April 12\, 2024.\n\n\n\nWhat is The Goff Strategic Leadership Center?\nHere in the Goff Strategic Leadership Center\, we're driving change in education and workforce readiness. With 51% of Gen-Z employees feeling unprepared for the professional world\, we equip individuals and organizations to tackle real-world challenges and embrace ambiguity. One way we do this is through our undergraduate programs\, in which our students work with partner organizations to provide insights into pressing strategic challenges our partners face.\n\n\n\nExplorers Program Overview\nThe Explorers program matches companies with high-achieving students seeking their first internship. All interns meet in a weekly class to learn about initiative\, communication\, problem-finding\, and other topics that help interns navigate their workplaces more effectively and maximize the value they create for their sites.\n\n\n\nProgram Logistics\n\n\n	Students intern ~7 hours weekly for 11 weeks (mid-May through late July 2024).\n	Goff matches interns directly to employers.\n	Internships can be in-person\, virtual\, or hybrid.\n	While we appreciate paid internships when possible\, but we also know that's not always an option\; we'd love to explore options with you.\n	Interns come from all majors\, and will bring foundational transferable skills.\n	Supervisors invest 1-2 hours/week working with the intern.
