SUMMARY:Business Women's Forum 2022: 03/15 Women’s Equality in Utah: Why Utah Is Ranked as the Worst State\, and What Can Be Done
DESCRIPTION:Registration is now closed. Please email Kat Kaddas at kkaddas@slchamber.com to be added to the waitlist.\n\nFor the fourth year in a row\, WalletHub has named Utah as the worst state in the nation for women's equality in their report "2021's Best & Worst States for Women's Equality\," released in August. To ascertain where women receive the most equal treatment\, WalletHub's analysis compared the 50 states across 17 key indicators of women's equality. In this presentation\, Dr. Susan Madsen will discuss the results of a white paper she co-authored\, commissioned by Zions Bank\, that provided a deeper analysis of these 17 metrics to understand why Utah ranks so low and what can be done to change this. She will outline the top 10 recommendations on how to move the needle in Utah based on the results of this study. Join us to find out what we can do individually and collectively to do this. As Utahns join to find ways to strengthen the impact of girls and women more effectively\, more Utah women and families will feel connected to our state's well-known mantra "This Is the Place."\n\nLUNCHEON AGENDA:\n\n11:00 AM - 11:30 AM Registration/Networking\n\n11:30 AM - 11:40 AM Non-Profit Spotlight -The Road Home\n\n11:40 AM - 11:55 AM Lunch\n\n11:55 AM - 12:00 PM Announcements\n\n12:00 PM - 12:10 PM Sponsor Comments \n\n12:10 PM - 12:55 PM Topic Presentation & Round table exercise \n\n12:55 PM - 1:00 PM Closing Remarks & Drawings \n\n\n\nCALL TO ACTION:\n\nOne of the Business Women's Forum goals is to influence positive change in our community.
