Please email events@slchamber.com for questions. \n\nJune is LGBTQ Pride Month\, and to commemorate the occasion\, the Business Women's Forum is excited to hear from Equality Utah on the language of inclusion and allyship. During this luncheon\, Managing Director Mindy Young and Director of Public Outreach Olivia Jaramillo will discuss the importance of inclusion\, techniques to become better allies to our LGBTQ colleagues and ways to better support them in the workplace. This month we will have Nothing Bundt Cakes at the event selling a variety of their mini bundt cakes. 20% of the proceeds will go to our Non-Profit Spotlight\, American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network\, Inc.\n\n\n\n\n\nABOUT THE PRESENTERS: \n\nMindy Young\, Managing Director\, Equality Utah\n\n\n\n\n	\n		\n			Mindy B. Young has extensive experience in film\, theater\, education\, and advocacy. Holding both a Master of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Utah\, she uses her creative touch to inspire program development\, connect organizations and maximize collaboration. Mindy has spent years engaging young people and adults in public speaking\, performing\, curriculum planning\, arts integration\, and performance at Southern Utah University and Utah Valley University\, along with other schools\, businesses\, and nonprofit organizations. Mindy has been awarded Best in State for Teaching and is a Coca-Cola Distinguished Educator. She has been a guest presenter on 511 Talk\, All Ears English\, a featured presenter at the International TESOL conference and on TEDx. As a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach\, Mindy is delighted to be utilizing her creative\, educational and administrative skills in several capacities at Equality Utah including developing their Business Equality Leader program featuring branded Diversity and Inclusion trainings. Mindy has been producing\, directing and starring in spectacular events and shows for over 18 years including Equality Utah's annual Allies Dinner featuring stars such as Tyler Glenn\, Gloria Steinem\, Chelsea Handler and the Allies Gala featuring Billy Porter. Her most fulfilling role is that of mother of 5 fantastic boys.\n\n			 \n		\n	\n\n\n\n\n\nOlivia Jaramillo\, Director of Public Outreach - Diversity & Inclusion Trainer\, Equality Utah\n\n\n\n\n	\n		\n			Olivia is a Strategic Leadership Consultant and a Diversity Equity and Inclusion Specialist. She is currently Director of Public Outreach at Equality Utah. She was born and raised in Mexico. She's a retired United States Air Force Veteran\, where she served on tours to Iraq\, Europe\, and humanitarian mission into Africa. In 2016 she was one of the first individuals nationwide to legally change her name and gender marker while still serving on Active Duty. She has worked in further DEI efforts for several companies and Organizations including YMCA\, Qualtrics\, Dominion Energy\, EDCUtah\, and Adobe. She is a member of the YWCA's Public Policy Committee\, and was a political candidate in 2020.
