The Host / Brand Ambassador at VENETO is a confident guest service-oriented team player and hospitality-minded professional with respect for the highest standards of world class service and hospitality. The ideal candidate thrives in an ever changing environment, is great at multi-tasking and takes great pride in the VENETO brand and surprising and delighting guests with the VENETO experience. This person will work closely with the captain, front of house team, and owners in providing superior service to all guests.

Host / Brand Ambassador Responsibilities:

  • Represent the VENETO brand in a professional and exemplary manner and promote the success of the restaurant to guests, staff and all other parties — from the beginning of the shift to the end (when the last guest leaves).
  • Make a great first impression — on the phone and when guests enter the restaurant
  • Reservation management via OpenTable
  • Welcome guests and inform them of VENETO specific customs, following scripting in the VENETO bible
  • Manage the flow of the restaurant throughout the night with incoming calls, existing reservations and welk-ins
  • Set the tone for the unique and memorable VENETO experience guests will have
  • Guarantee professionalism at front door by managing and directing other team members to support and focus
  • Ensure accuracy of each Guest’s order

REQUIREMENTS of The Job:

  • Punctual
  • Present an elegant and professional appearance.
  • Ability to stand for extended period of time.
  • Ability to Lift 20+ lbs.
  • Ability to work well on a team and receptive to taking direction, feedback, and coaching
  • Fine dining experience a +, not required—positive attitude to learn the job & follow set standards & procedures required
  • Preferably 1-3 years previous experience at a restaurant with similar service, guest relations & operational standards
  • An appetite for providing exceptional, memorable hospitality
  • Excellent emotional self-awareness, with a clear understanding of guest and team boundaries
  • Ability to stay calm, professional, and solve problems when under pressure 
  • Learn, embody, and proudly provide the VENETO-style of service
